
Petrov-Vodkin and Malevich to show formation of Russian Art 
Russia is to send 140 pictures of Russian and French artists for an art exhibition 'Bonjour Russland' in The Kunst Palast Museum is to host the unique pictures from Hermitage, Pushkin Museum, Russian Museum and Tretyakov Gallery.
The exposition ranges from Peredvizhniki up to Cubo-Futurism and Supermatism. It will present The Dance by Henri Matisse, The Black Square by Kazimir Malevich, Portrait of Dr. Rey by Vincent Van Gogh and Bathing the Red Horse by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin.
The exhibition aims to show the influence of French art on the growth and development of Russian one on the range of the 19th and 20th centuries. The pictures presented reflect the period of 1860-1925, the time when Russia turned from a country far away from art to a state of the most radical experiments.
The prototype of the exhibition has already taken place some years ago in Russia. The subject was Cezanne and Russian Art.
